Changes to Kauaʻi Bus schedule

‘ELE‘ELE — Startimg Feb. 14, there will be changes to Route 100 and Route 300 of The Kaua‘i Bus. A new bus stop in ‘Ele‘ele Nani will also be activated.

The new bus stop in ‘Ele‘ele Nani is at the intersection of Kaumuali‘i Highway and Mahea Road, serviced by Route 100 (Kekaha to Lihu‘e).

“Our ‘Ele‘ele bus stops provide an estimated 600 monthly rides to passengers in the surrounding area for various reasons, including trips to and from work, medical appointments and leisure activities,” said county Transportation Agency Executive Celia Mahikoa. “We are excited to add this new bus stop, which will improve service and provide a more-convenient option for our riders.”

Officials also announced the following changes to Route 100 and Route 30 (Koloa Shuttle), effective Feb. 14.

w Service will be discontinued at the Kaua‘i Coffee Visitor Center bus stop;

w The Brydeswood bus stop will be moved exclusively to Route 30 and serviced hourly, from 6:09 a.m. to 8:09 p.m.;

w The Route 30 schedule will adjust to start at 6:05 a.m. from the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.

“It is our hope that as transportation needs continue to grow on Kaua‘i, our transit system will also grow to meet the demand and provide necessary service throughout the island,” said Mahikoa.
