ANAHOLA — Two weekend fires near Anahola kept Kaua‘i Fire Department firefighters busy.

On Saturday evening, Kauai Fire Department firefighters responded to an estimated 2-acre brush fire in Anahola near Kalalea View Drive.

On Sunday afternoon, KFD firefighters responded to a second brush fire in Anahola near Hokualele Road that was estimated to be 3 acres.

No injuries or damaged structures were reported by press time, and no road closures were announced. However, first responders were advising the public to avoid both areas.
