LIHUE —The Building Industry Association of Hawaii has been awarded a federal Department of Labor, Susan Harwood Grant to provide training to address occupational safety and health hazards that may be encountered in natural-disaster-site response and cleanup activities across Hawaii.
Disaster response and preparedness training is free and is designed for anyone who wants to be better prepared for natural disasters.
A course is 8 a.m. to noon Monday, Feb. 25 on Kauai.
