KAPAA — The Kawaihau Community Little League will be fielding two teams when the organization hosts the Hawaii Little League District Tournament that started on Friday and continues through Tuesday at the KCLL Main Diamond in the Bryan J. Baptiste Sports Park.
This year, KCLL Minors, players aged 8, 9 and 10 years old, will be fielding Team Gold, coached by Josh Palakiko, Tyler Teves, Mike Watkins, Karl Kimura and Bronson Low, and Team Purple coached by Kaipo Keale and Troy Furugen.
Winners of the Minors District Tournament advance to the Hawaii Little League State Tournament that will be played at a later date.
KCLL invites the community to take in the tournament and support the Minors Division players by enjoying the competition and supporting the food booth.
