KOKEE — The Department of Public Works has announced it has begun closing lanes along portions of Kokee Road, which will remain in effect until the end of the month.
On Wednesday, Jan. 19, the contractor, GP Roadway Solutions, began construction work to close laneways along Kokee Road from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for guardrail repair and installation.
The rehabilitation work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, Feb. 28.
All work is weather permitting. Motorists are advised to make proper arrangements to accommodate the closures.
During the closure, parking will not be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will also be positioned in the zones to direct traffic.
