LIHUE — The Department of Parks and Recreation (DOPR) announced that Lydgate Campground will closed for about two weeks for rehabilitation.
The closure is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 12. The campground will reopen at noon on Thursday, Nov. 21.
The closure is necessary so that DOPR staff can thoroughly clean and perform much-needed grounds maintenance of the facilities.
Individuals holding active camping permits will be notified and assisted in obtaining another permit at another county campground location or refunded.
