Jason Daniel Genegabuas

Jason Daniel Genegabuas, age 49, passed away on Oct. 22, 2021. He was born in Lihu‘e on Oct. 20, 1972. He was in the National Guard and a Parts Manager at NAPA auto parts.

Jason was preceded in death by his father Daniel S. Genegabuas and Janine Kinimaka.

Jason is survived by sons Jayson Genegabuas-Serion, Micah Couture-Serion, daughter Crystall Genegabuas-Tabura, mother Diane Genegabuas, brothers Harley Genegabuas, Keith Alejo, sister Gigi Genegabuas, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Garden island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.

Anthony ‘Tony’ R. Amaro

Anthony “Tony” R. Amaro Passed away at home on Oct. 19, 2021, at the age of 92. He was born on Feb. 20, 1929, in Los Angeles, California. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired as a manager at Chrysler Assembly II in Fenton, Missouri.

Anthony was preceded in death by parents Jose and Maria Amaro, brothers John, Peter and Santiago Amaro, sisters Mary and Constance Amaro and daughter Debra Tesman.

Anthony is survived by wife Esther Amaro, sons Michael (Elizabeth) Amaro, Martin (Beth) Amaro, daughters Patricia (Nick) Mason, Catherine (Glen) Aranda, 11 grandchildren and 6 great –grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Borthwick Kauai Mortuary is assisted the family with arrangements.

Joanne Hardt Kaohi

Joanne Hardt Kaohi, 87, of Kawaihae, died Oct. 29, 2021, at her residence. She was born May 21, 1934, in Portland, Oregon, and was a retired accountant for Theo Davies & Company and member of the University of Oregon Alpha Phi Sorority.

Joanne is survived by son Ellsworth Kaohi, Jr. of Volcano, daughters Roslyn (Steven) Choi of Kalaheo, Kimberly Kaohi of Honolulu, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, numerous family and friends.

Service information will be announced at a later date.

Cremation Services of West Hawai‘i assisted the family with arrangements.
