LIHUE — In observance of the upcoming President’s Day Holiday, many offices and establishments will be closed on Monday, Feb. 17.
Below is a list of the premises and services that will be closed in observance of the federal holiday.
• County of Kauai offices will be closed.
• The U.S. Postal Office will be closed — No mail or newspaper will be delivered.
• All major banks and their branches will be closed.
• The Kekaha Landfill will be closed.
• All neighborhood centers will be closed.
• All refuse transfer stations will be closed. HI5 Redemption Centers will be closed.
• The Puhi Metals Recycling Center will be closed. Because the Waimea and Kapaa swimming pools are closed on Mondays, staff will observe the holiday on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
Trash pickup schedules will not change. The Kauai Bus will be operating on its regular schedule.
