Salty Stacks opening adds to The Shops

POIPU — Alexander Y Baldwin Inc. announces the opening of Salty Stacks’ second location at The Shops at Kukuiula on Black Friday.

Salty Stacks opened its first storefront on Kauai at the Coconut Marketplace in March 2024 following a “meaningful family moment.” In 2023, the founder took her daughter and her daughter’s best friend to get matching bracelets before the friend moved off the island. That experience sparked the idea of creating a space where people could mark special occasions with pieces designed specifically for them.

“We’ve always embraced an Island Girl aesthetic, and that influences everything we bring into our space,” said Lindsey Rivera, founder of Salty Stacks. “I wanted to create something special, a place where people can celebrate life’s moments with pieces that feel personal and unique.”

Salty Stacks offers a full range of customizable jewelry experiences, including more than 30 permanent jewelry chain styles, fully customizable permanent bangles, private events in-store, or on-location.

The new 1,000-square-foot location includes multiple workstations designed to accommodate both daily visitors and larger groups.

“Salty Stacks provides a unique concept with a fun atmosphere that we are excited to share at The Shops at Kukuiula,” said Michael Hubbard, senior property manager at Alexander &Baldwin. “Their approach and emphasis on custom craftsmanship complement the island character of our center and offer something special for both residents and visitors.”

Salty Stacks at The Shops at Kukuiula is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The opening of Salty Stacks at The Shops adds to the launch of the holiday season at The Shops that include a series of festive events, including Black Friday specials throughout the center, the kickoff of the Koloa Elementary School Holiday Bag Fundraiser, and a Small Business Saturday celebration.

The Koloa Elementary School Holiday Bag Fundraiser starts the season with a special ukulele concert by kindergarteners through fifth-graders in The Palm Court area, coinciding with the weekly culinary market that is a collaborative effort with the Kauai County Farm Bureau.

During the campaign that runs through Christmas Eve, hand-decorated holiday gift bags created by Koloa School students will be available for a minimum $1 donation at select retailers in The Shops. All of the proceeds directly support Koloa Elementary School and its programs.

In addition to Salty Stacks opening its doors on Black Friday, shoppers are able to start their holiday weekend with special offers, giveaways, and an opportunity to bring home exclusive gifts, including “special gift with purchase.” Shoppers spending a combined $350 or more at any of The Shops’ stores or restaurants will receive a limited-edition mini weekender bag designed in collaboration with Nyla &Co., while supplies last.

Lappert’s Hawaii will offer Breakfast-On-Us — present any Black Friday receipt from The Shops at Kukuiula to receive a Lappert’s coupon for a complimentary coffee-of-the-day and pastry. There is a limit of one coupon per person, and exclusions apply. The offer is valid while supplies last.

Finally, there will be a YETI cooler prize drawing — enter to win a branded YETI Roadie cooler valued at $200, or a YETI Tundra 35 valued at $275. No purchase is necessary, and there is a limit of one entry per person.

On Small Business Saturday Market, Hawaii-made products, holiday activities, including keiki crafts, and entertainment for the whole family will be featured. From 4 to 6 p.m., Santa arrives in a snowy blizzard at The Palm Court.
