Thanksgiving holiday closures announced

LIHUE — Thanksgiving is almost here, and in observance of the holiday, many establishments and offices will be closed on Thursday.

Here is a list of premises and services that will be closed on Thursday to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday:

• All County of Kauai offices

• The Kauai Police Department’s Records services and firearms registration window

• The United States Postal Service (USPS) will not deliver mail

• All neighborhood centers

• Kekaha landfill

• Puhi Metals Recycling Center

• H15 Redemption Center

• All Refuse Transfer Stations

• The Waimea and Kapaa pools

• All major banks

• Walmart

• Target

• The Home Depot

• Costco Lihue

The schedule for residential refuse pick-up will remain unchanged. The Kauai Bus will be operating on its regular schedule.

Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume on Friday.
