Aces galore at local golf courses

LIHU‘E — The most recent of three known holes in one took place on Thanksgiving Day at the Ocean Course at Hokuala Golf Club. Two of the hole in one feats took place at the Ocean Course Hokuala, and one happened at Wailua Golf Course.

Christian Ross Iloreta aced the No. 16, par 4 hole using his driver on the 265-yard white tee box, said Hualani Duncan, the golf sales manager for the Ocean Course.

The hole-in-one was witnessed by Christian’s brother, Randy Iloreta Jr. and friend Rylen Yadao-Purisima.

“I am thankful on Thanksgiving Day,” Christian told Duncan. “Thank you to good friends, good family and good times. And, a big shout out by my fiancee Judy-Ann Edurise. Love you very much.”

On Nov. 18, Brysen Kuali‘i made a hole in one at the No. 8 hole at the Ocean Course Hokuala using a sand wedge off the white tee at 110 yards.
