American Idol winner playing at Freedom Fest

MANA — Iam Tongi, the American Idol 2023 winner is coming to Kaua‘i, and the people of Kaua‘i are being invited to see the popular entertainer, states an announcement by the Pacific Missile Range Facility’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation program.

” We are absolutely thrilled to announce the extraordinarily talented Iam Tongi will be the headliner at America’s Most West Freedom Fest on July 3 at the PMRF,” said PMRF MWR director Jeffrey Shaw. “What an honor it is to have such an incredible musician, and Hawai‘i’s own superstar perform for our PMRF and Kaua‘i ‘ohana at this fantastic community celebration.”

America’s Most West Freedom Fest is open to the public from 4:30 p.m. and will feature food, craft vendors, live music, activities for keiki and of course, the fireworks show.

“Please come out to this great party to celebrate Independence Day,” Shaw said. “America’s Most West Freedom Fest will be a fantastic event for the entire family.

“In addition to Iam Tongi, we have the incredible honor of welcoming back Hawai‘i’s own country star Waylon Nihipali to entertain guests with American Idol finalist Morgan Gruber,” the MWR director said. “The live music kicks off with the fantastic sounds of country music artist Payton Sullivan.”

The announcement was done early to enable families to plan ahead for Independence Day celebrations. As the date for the Freedom Fest approaches, more details will be announced.
