LIHU‘E — Blue Dolphin Charters General Manager Shaye Donnelly Clarke presented a $600 check to the Zonta Club of Kaua‘i Foundation for the foundation’s annual scholarships, done during the Zonta Club of Kaua‘i’s April meeting that coincided with the club’s 75th anniversary.
Funds for the donation were derived from a special Blue Dolphin Charters fundraising whale watch, which Zonta Club of Kaua‘i members were invited along with the public, who were offered a discounted price. Blue Dolphin Charters pledged 10 percent of that tour proceeds to the Zonta Foundation Scholarship Fund.
The club said there is still time for young women to apply for the scholarship. The deadline application deadline is May 19.
