Bunny House scheduled through Easter at the Kukui Grove Center

LIHU‘E — Keiki were everywhere on Tuesday during the regular Toddler Tuesday programming at Kukui Grove Center. And so were the bunnies.

There were so many keiki, Lily Bobtail and Peter Cottontail, two of the Easter bunnies visiting the Easter Bunny House across from Jamba Juice had to use a wooden crate to bring their Easter eggs, and watch for keiki under foot while dancing and hopping through the twice-monthly program for youngsters.

Brenda Turville Biehler of Showtime Characters said the crowd was due to spring break, and parents and grandparents bringing their charges to the shopping center.

“The bunnies will be doing another special showing on March 26,” Brenda said. “It’ll be from 11 a.m., but closer to the Bunny House. And maybe, we’ll mix it up a bit and have the chickens, too.”

Everyone is invited to visit the Bunny House with their camera or smart phone for free selfies. Reservations are not needed when visiting the Easter bunny during the Bunny House hours.

The Bunny House will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the Kukui Grove Spring Festival that will feature an “egg-citing” egg hunt. Kukui Grove says there are limited egg hunt treasure maps so keiki must be registered by visiting its website at www.kukuigrovecenter.com after March 15.

The spring festival will also feature kids crafts, candy and giveaways while supplies last.

On Sunday, March 24, Good Friday, March 29, and Saturday, March 30, the Bunny House will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
