CyberHawaii has partnered with the University of Hawai‘i, Arizona State University Center for Gender Equity in Science and Technology and the Defense STEM Education Consortium to launch CompuGirls Hawaii, a program to introduce Hawaii high school girls, from population traditionally underrepresented in STEM, to cybersecurity and IT as a field of study and viable career path.
The CompuGirls Hawaii 2020 Virtual Engagement Program will engage students with full access to the curriculum, activities and lesson plans to strengthen their skills in cybersecurity and IT and will take place every Saturday from Oct. 17 to Nov. 21, 2020, at 9 a.m. to noon.
