LIHU‘E — The Civil Air Patrol will hold an informational session today for those interested in participating in the organization.
The event will be held between 4 and 7 p.m. at the Kukui Grove Mall Army Recruiting Office on May 6.
The Civil Air Patrol offers cadet programs for people from 12 to 18 years old and has opportunities for adults as well.
The organization holds meetings at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday nights at the Lihu’e Airport, Private Aviation Hangars.
Formed during World War II, the CAP is a public service organization of 56,000 that carries out emergency service missions and conducts aerospace education programs.
