Fifteen new cases of COVID-19 were reported Wednesday on Hawaii Island, bringing the total number of cases reported since the start of the pandemic to 2,604.
The state Department of Health of Health reported 72 new cases throughout Hawaii.
According to data from the DOH, 31 cases have been reported in Hilo during the past 14 days, while 57 cases have been reported in Kailua-Kona during the same time period.
Hawaii County now has a 1.4% test positivity rate, compared to a 1.6% positivity statewide.
As of Wednesday, 991,624 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Hawaii.
Of those, 756,559 have been administered by the DOH, 127,465 have been administered by federal agencies such as the U.S. Department of Defense and 107,600 have been administered through federal programs for nursing homes and long-term care facilities.
Statewide, 33% of residents have received at least one dose of vaccine, while 22% have completed a vaccine series.
In Hawaii County, 35% of the 201,500 residents have so far received one vaccine dose, while 21% have completed a vaccine series.
