DOH reports 160 more COVID-19 cases statewide, four more Oahu deaths

The state Department of Health reported 160 new COVID-19 cases today and three more deaths, bringing the statewide total number of cases to 11,105.

Of the new cases, 136 were in the City and County of Honolulu, bringing its case total to 10,015. As a result of updated information, one Honolulu case was removed from the count.

Hawaii County reported 20 new cases with its total number now at 623.

Another COVID-19 death was reported today among residents of the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home by Hawaii County Civil Defense. That brings the number of coronavirus-related deaths at the veterans home to 16, with 17 overall COVID-19 deaths reported on the Big Island.

It’s not known how many of those deaths have made it to DOH’s official total, which is now at 107. The four new cases reported today by DOH are all on Oahu.

There were three new cases reported in Maui County, bringing its total to 381 cases.

Kauai County reported no new cases, and remains at 58 total cases.

Hawaii residents reported infected while out of state number 28.

Of the state’s cases, 685 have required hospitalization and 4,248 have been released from isolation as “recovered.”

There is a coronavirus testing clinic scheduled for 9 a.m.-noon Friday at Keauhou Shopping Center in Kona.
