Free COVID-19 drive-through screening Sunday in Hilo

Premier Medical Group and Bay Clinic, with the support of Hawaii County and the state’s COVID-19 task force, is again doing drive-through screening and testing from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday at Hilo’s Hoolulu Complex.

This free clinic is open to the public. However, individuals must first undergo a screening to determine if they meet the criteria to be tested. Clinic physicians on site will make the determination regarding testing. The screening criteria will be based on guidance of the CDC and the state’s COVID-19 Response Task Force.

People who visit the screening clinic will be asked to show photo ID. Additionally, people are requested to bring their own pen and any health insurance cards they have, although insurance is not required.

Access to the drive-through clinic will be only through the Piilani/Hinano Street entrance to the complex parking lot.

In addition, Premier Medical Group, the COVID-19 task force and the county are doing drive-through screening and testing twice a week in Kona — from 8 a.m.-noon Mondays and Thursdays in the parking lot of the Keauhou Shopping Center.

The weekend drive-through clinics at Old Kona Airport Park were discontinued.
