Ganir, Oshiro lead Raiders to 4th golf win

POIPU — Christian Ganir of Kauai High School fired a three-over 75 (36-39) to lead the Red Raider boys to its fourth consecutive team win Saturday during the Kauai Interscholastic Federation golf match at Poipu Bay Golf Course under hot sunny skies.

Tyra Oshiro, chasing two strokes over Jessica Hreljac at the crossing, finished with a 79 (38-41) to lead the Red Raider girls to its uncontested fourth win, getting help from Hreljac who finished the round a stroke back at 80 (36-44).

Top individualist honors belonged to Kapaa’s Kekoa Eisenhour who finished second overall at 76 (38-38), a stroke behind Ganir, and top girls individualist honors went to Kauai’s Keesha Brown who ended the day at 91 (43-48).

The next KIF golf match takes place Saturday at the Princeville Makai Golf Club when the first groups tee off at noon.
