Gas prices were relatively flat throughout the islands in the last week, according to the AAA Hawaii Weekend Gas Watch. Thursday’s statewide average price was $3.64 a gallon, which is unchanged since last Thursday, 4 cents higher than a month ago and 6 cents lower than on this date a year ago, according to GasPrices.AAA.com.
Lihue’s average price for regular was $3.84, which is 1 cent lower than last Thursday, the same price as on this date last month and 4 cents lower than a year ago today.
In Honolulu, Thursday’s average price for regular was $3.53, which is 1 cent higher than last Thursday, seven cents higher than on this date a month ago and 5 cents lower as on this date last year. The Hilo average price was $3.73, which was down 2 cents from last Thursday, 3 cents higher than on this date last month and 2 cents higher than on this date a year ago.
