Greater Good Charities donates 15,340 pounds of pet food

PUHI — The Hawai‘i Foodbank, Kaua‘i Branch celebrated the receipt of 15,340 pounds, or 16 pallets of pet food, Thursday, from the Greater Good Charities.

“We’re so fortunate to have support come together like this, eager to serve the community,” said Wes Perreira, the island’s director of the Hawai‘i Foodbank, Kaua‘i Branch. “Mahalo for their generous support in helping our four-legged family members.”

The food meant to feed Kaua‘i’s food-insecure pets will be distributed through the Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i Branch partner agencies like the Westside Christian Center, Nourish Kaua‘i, St. William Catholic Church, the Northshore Food Pantry, King’s Chapell, and the Church of the Pacific.
