Grove Farm, community to celebrate UH men’s volleyball

PUHI — Grove Farm is hosting a celebration next Saturday, where the community can join Grove Farm in congratulating Coach Charlie Wade and the Rainbow Warrior men’s volleyball team on its national championship.

“Yes, Coach Charlie Wade is coming,” said a spokesperson for Grove Farm. “And, he’ll have whomever is still here from the team joining him, too!”

Wade is expected to address the community during this brief appearance that will take place at the Puhi Park — more than five acres located directly across Kaumuali‘i Hwy from the Kaua‘i Community College — from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Parking is available at Puhi Park, and Grove Farm has obtained permission from the Kaua‘i Community College to utilize the parking lots for additional parking.

To be mindful of the COVID-19 rules and requirements in place, participants need to wear face masks, and strict social distancing will be adhered to.

“Participants cannot bring anything to be autographed because of the COVID-19 protocol,” the spokesperson said. “There will be items the group will have available while supplies last.”

This community celebration is made possible through the support of numerous corporate and individual sponsors,

All contributions will be donated to the University of Hawai‘i Foundation — Men’s Volleyball.
