Happy Camper for Friday, April 8, 2022

There’s one last time to check out the Kaua‘i Climate Adaptability Plan in-person open house (congratulations Ka‘aina Hull, Ruby Pap, and all those hands for making this work really well!)…check them out at ‘Aina Ho‘okupu O Kilauea (they’re good to check out even without the plan!) from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday…check them out; great way to get an idea of climate change, and be a part of the planning. Can’t make it? Didn’t get to do the other community events? It’s alright…check out kauaiadaptation.com, and don’t forget to take the survey…every one counts.

Spring Festival bound at the Kukui Grove (did you get to register for those egg hunt treasure maps)? Jean Souza of the Kaua‘i Ocean Discovery said she’ll have those temporary tattoos that were so popular at the Ag Week/Day celebration where she was talking about climate change and the impact it has on the whales and turtles.

Also, David Flores and Nick Frecosi opens “Islandology,” Saturday at the Kaua‘i Society of Artists gallery with an opening reception from 5 to 9 p.m.

Kudos, Jim Guerber and Larry Feinstein of the Kaua‘i Beer Company who celebrated National Beer Day (it was on Thursday) with a Pups &Pints fundraiser for the Kaua‘i Humane Society.
