Congratulations, Salomone Malafu on signing with the UCLA Bruins! Mahalo, Greg Gonsalves and Tommy John Cox on coordinating the lunchtime gathering where Salomone’s family and friends could celebrate the big occasion.
Kudos, Megan Fox and the Malama Kaua‘i on distributing those free fruit trees so all those farmers can have more bounty to offer at the different farmers markets … man, those dwarf citrus is the way to go with all the small lots that’s available … Hannah Huang (Grove Farm Market on Saturdays) said it’s good they trim the main trunks, so you just have to follow the lateral branches.
More congratulations to Preeda Panyamee and Nancy Koumal on winning the 2022 edition of the Holiday Recipe Contest (did Santa get to try some of the samples?), and more kudos to Laurie Ho, Amy Chun, and Melissa McFerrin-Warrack for making it happen at the Pau Hana Market (they’re going to have Mayette Loseto kadomatsu, and good luck charms for the New Year on Monday starting at 3 p.m.).
