Thank you Balanced customer Judy (she also shops at the Pau Hana Market) for offering to pay for The Happy Camper to join Katie Reed, the CEO and co-founder of Balanced.com during the online exercise group’s (they’re based in New York) get acquainted offer that Laurie Ho said Balanced bought a bunch of Elmer’s Farm produce to give away during the Pau Hana Market at Kukui Grove Center.
Katie said she formed the company after discovering there was no exercise program suited to her grandmother’s exercise needs, and even got to meet Johnny Yago of the county’s Agency on Elderly Affairs.
Cyndi Ayonon was back at the market after a long period of not being there, and market volunteer Bev Pang had a head start on the Jim Saylor Jewelers storewide sale marking the retirement of the Fast Company (Wow! Three wins in three races?!) skipper. That got Edie Ignacio Neumiller’s juices going … where’re the big sales this weekend, Edie?
Congratulations, Kaua‘i High School Coach Cassie Wong and the Red Raider softball team on earning a win over the defending champion Kapa‘a High School team on Wednesday night before a crowd that enjoyed the shoyu chicken plate, and mahalo, Michael Koerte and his ‘ohana for getting such detailed scoring reports to the newspaper so everyone can enjoy the win.
