Happy Camper for Friday, March 25, 2022

Kudos to Lihu‘e Airport Manager Craig Davis and the Lihu‘e Airport ‘ohana on the blessing of the Lihu‘e Airport Ticket Lobby Improvement Project. The event was worthy enough to warrant a trip to Kaua‘i by Gov. David Ige, First Lady Dawn Amano Ige, and Department of Transportation Director Jade Butay, and even Conrad Murashige of Shioi Construction…definitely an honor to be in such great company like officiant Kumu Sabra Kauka and her haumana…Dickie Chang broke away from his airport duties to get a photo op with some of the dignitaries, and Kaleo Carvalho kept reminding him to get back to work…was it a coincidence that the flash flood warnings came when it did?

Did you eat local, this week?

Melissa McFerrin Warrack of the Kukui Grove Center said this is National Agriculture Week, and if you did eat local, then tell about it! There’s a chance you can win a prize Saturday during the celebration of agriculture presented by the Kukui Grove Center and the Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau.

Brian Yamamoto was at the Pau Hana Market Monday with the Waimea High School students who are enrolled in the Early College Agriculture course, and yes, the Easter Bunny comes next week.

This is the fourth Sunday of March so people can check out the inaugural Wailua Bay Creator’s Fair Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Hilton Garden Inn Wailua Bay…any good breakfast specials, Chef Rafael Camarillo?
