Happy Camper for Friday, May 14, 2021

Stacie Chiba-Miguel is thrilled — the people are back! — taking a break between getting daughter Emalia to help with the photo shoot, and helping Ashley Yoshimori and Samira Siale with the Fishing for Charity (yes, you have to supply your own gear!), Wednesday during the Farmers Market at The Shops at Kukui‘ula where The Last Supersonic barely had time to catch a breath.

Terry (she and Johnny got two – did you?) Gordines of Tropical Flower Express (yes, they were pumping, too with their Siam Rose-enhanced arrangements) was thrilled they got to visit their son under the Safe Travels vaccine program, and said the process was super easy.

Christine and Adam Coyaso (congratulations on the opening of the food truck in the Koloa food truck row across from Sueoka Store!) didn’t have time to realize how Wednesdays are Christine’s busiest day of the week because she spends the day at the food truck, and has less than 30 minutes to get down and set up for The Shops’ Wednesday market. No wonder she’s not at the Pau Hana Market on Mondays, and how do you balance Saturday at The Grove Farm Market?

Christie Tanner of the Waimea Valley (the yellow trees in Waimea are going off right now!) Fruit Company said she has some Excel mango (had the fresh ones for about a month, now) as well as her dried Li Hing variety. She also has some Indonesian white guava, and how about the Philippine Swirl (yes, they’re orange!) guava that some say have a more intense guava taste.

Okay, it’s time to go check out the Kaua‘i Community College graduation…the link to the event is on the website at kauai.hawaii.edu.
