Guess what? We have a surprise on top of the surprise when Grove Farm announced that Kumu Hula Leina‘ala Pavao Jardin and Halau Ka Lei Mokihana o Leina‘ala (remember the halau’s sweep at this year’s Merrie Monarch Festival?) will be joining Charlie Wade and the back-to-back national champion University of Hawai‘i Men’s Volleyball team on Saturday at Puhi Park from 10 to 11:45 a.m.
That event follows the graduation celebration at all three public high schools — Kapa‘a, Kaua‘i, and Waimea high schools, Friday afternoon and evening…pray for clear skies because everyone is outdoors.
Kudos to Lucy Blanchard…she not only was with mom Amy Blanchard gallery sitting in the Wednesday rain, Lucy created “Lu’s Dolphin” that’s entered in the 4th Annual Washed Up Marine Debris Art Exhibit co-sponsored by the Surfrider Foundation where Wynde Thomas’ Man of Mystery (voted Best in Show) already sold.
And don’t forget, the Wailua Bay Creators Fair is Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn with Attalia and Eric Alverdes, and Rhonda Liu who’s done with graduation already.
