Carol Yotsuda (what? We need to worry about E Kanikapila from now?) and her fellow artisans brought the Boro Boro Boutique back — it is the first Saturday of an even-numbered month — when Marlene Duarte and the Grove Farm Company welcomed nearly 40 craft vendors to the weekly Grove Farm Market held in the open field in Puhi (Puhi Park was empty, and Dean Nonaka didn’t go to Maui with the Rookies … do you know the airfare tickets to Maui and the Big Island were through the roof?) where Terry Gordines (gotta try some of her coffee) had some flowering shampoo ginger, and Mayette Loseto had a basket of abiu (she said it tastes like cream apple) from the two trees she’s got growing.
Rhonda Liu of Kaua‘i Community College said she wasn’t invited to the Express Enrollment (it’s Tuesday from 4 p.m. at the Learning Resource Center), and college students Kaylee Langtad and Keilyn Palaracio of Lovely Charms by Kay (they’re going to be at the Downtown Lihu‘e Night Market, Saturday, too!) were doing a brisk business with their backpack bling (school starts, today!).
And, aren’t the college peeps showing a honeycreeper film at the Fine Arts Auditorium, too?
