Kudos, Mark Perriello, Rose Ramos Benzel (mahalo for the heads-up) of the Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce, and Leland Kahawai of First Hawaiian Bank for coordinating the Economic Outlook Luncheon at the Grand Hyatt Kaua‘i Resort and Spa (there’s just a few more night remaining in March to view the blue illumination supporting cancer awareness at the resort’s main lobby atrium). The event served to showcase the quality of “Hyatt people” as they did their respective tasks caring for the 200-plus guests.
Beth Haddock, of Volcano Pizza in the Po‘ipu Shopping Village, said they’re looking at opening Wednesdays (yeah, the crowd at the Pop-Up Farmers Market at The Shops (at Kukui‘ula) are hungry after buying all that local produce (especially Sugarloaf Pineapple).
Also, a reminder (mahalo, Emily Fabro!) that Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation boys volleyball starts Tuesday when Kapa‘a High School comes to the Kaua‘i High School Gym, and Waimea High School comes to the Wilcox Gymnasium to take on Island School. The Junior Varsity games at both locations start at 5 p.m., followed by the Varsity contests.
