Happy Camper for Sunday, October 3, 2021

Uncle Leoni Pule Kawika Likeke (Uncle 2 Socks from the Anahola Market?) is now at the farmers’ market at the Coconut Marketplace in Waipouli Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Lee Wilke of Lee’s Bees still has his American flag flying for all those left behind in Afghanistan, and Adam Coyaso (no Mini Me, only Junior last Thursday) of Kaua‘i Coconuts (the green food truck with Christine and Mini Me is opening up Oct. 7 next to the CrossFit facility on Kuhio Highway next to McDonald’s in Lihu‘e!) were jamming at the Thursday market.

Mahalo to Becca Rogers of Becca’s Sweet Treats on the new vegan apple cinnamon bread (sure would go nicely with a glass of milk) that joins her full line of other breads, cookies and cupcakes. Daughter Rachel took advantage of a lull in customers to go visit Uncle 2 Socks.

Just down the road, Barbara Gusman of the Sheraton Kaua‘i Coconut Beach Resort got to meet all the bird-watchers (they’re from Washington, Montana and Georgia, hoping to spot some red-footed boobies) who got here through the efforts of Mandy Talpas of Hawai‘i Birding and Nature Tours, who hooked up with Forrestt Rowland of ForsixPhotography of Montana for this tour (she’s got three more coming by the end of the year, Barbara said).
