Happy Camper for Wednesday, January 13, 2021

Gary Elwood of Kaua‘i Community College joined the herd Monday when teachers and educators were given the green light for the COVID-19 vaccine at the point-of-distribution set up at the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall.

Gary was joined by coach Fred Sasan (he’s trying to go visit his grandchild) and even Sarah Tochiki, who was administered her first dose by Dr. Randy Blake, who happens to play with one of Tochiki’s musical groups.

Bill Spitz said the lechon pork being offered by Aida Abella and Eden Alaldin was so delicious-looking, Laurie Ho succumbed to get some for the market leaders. Hopefully, she got some for herself as well. Mayette Loseto (she hasn’t had time for a break from the holidays) said she was running late so couldn’t get all of the citrus offerings (the ruby red grapefruit looked really good in the afternoon heat), and Christine Coyaso had some mochi donuts that uses some of Adam’s coconuts. There was no “Mini Me” sighting at the every-Monday-afternoon Pau Hana Market at Kukui Grove Center.
