Happy Camper for Wednesday, March 20, 2024

Jock Goodman of Jock’s Photography (nah, he’s got silver jewelry and more, too!) wanted to know on Sunday why don’t you iron your clovers at the Beach House craft fair.

So, you don’t press your luck … Happy Saint Patrick’s Day, Jock! The Easter Bunny was swamped on Sunday and had to wear a green jacket before switching to the Leprechaun for double duty at the Bunny House that opened on Saturday for photos and selfies through Easter (it falls on March 31, this year) … don’t forget the West Kaua‘i Lions Club Easter Egg project for keiki 1 through 12 years old that takes place at Kekaha Park that feature the old fashioned Easter Egg Hunt and prizes, including toys and a bike giveaway. Everything starts at 8:30 a.m. (and don’t be late, or all the eggs will be found).

Gary Pacheco leaked it and Louis LaFratta confirmed the North Shore Lions Club Hot Cakes and Hula Breakfast will take place on April 7 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Kilauea Elementary School cafeteria following a nearly five year absence. Tickets for the meal with scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit and pancakes (is Gary going to make his specials?) are now on sale for keiki and adults through any of the North Shore Lions.

Also, a lot of boys volleyball takes place from Wednesday through Saturday when Maryknoll School and Pearl City High School arrives for preseason play against our Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation member schools, including Kapa‘a, Kaua‘i, Island School and Waimea high schools.
