Happy Camper for Wednesday, October 12, 2022

Keeli Iguchi (her brother wears No. 11 for the 12-and-under Pop Warner Kekaha Titans) made her debut on Saturday with glow-in-the-dark jewelry (good for Halloween events!) at the monthly Lihu‘e Downtown Night Market (thank heaven it was fall break so there was no Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation football game!), where Darnell Sugioka of Project Vision had Pat Coon administering free flu shots, and with the help of FilCom, offering free COVID-19 tests.

Mahalo, Regina Carvalho, Edie Ignacio Neumiller and the Kaua‘i County Committee on the Status of Women on the group’s efforts at promoting October as the month to wear pink for breast cancer awareness.

Duquesa Padamada from the state Department of Health Kaua‘i District Health Office had a new variation of the durable pin-on pink ribbon on Monday at the Pau Hana Market at Kukui Grove Center in Lihu‘e, where everyone is still waiting on the container of dinosaurs. The Jurassic Park exhibit runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday only!
