Happy Camper for Wednesday, September 6, 2023

What is a MOS (Art Umezu said it stands for “Mountains, Ocean, and Sea” — how come it’s not “sun” since “sea” is closely related to “ocean?”) Burger, Mayor Derek S.K. Kawakami, who was speaking with Shinya Ohashi and Mirai Honma (congratulations on winning The Kaua‘i Marathon on Sunday!) on how they would make a special stop for MOS Burgers while traveling in Japan.

Cheryl Shintani said Yamagata University exchange students Ayaka Iwamoto and Himari Mori both got to experience flying saucers (are they better than Loco Moco?) on Sunday at the Waimea Shingon Mission. But they still haver Kenji Burgers on the list of stops because the Japanese students said people in Japan all talk about Kenji Burgers (hint — get the Bowl; it’s a lot less messy).

Congratulations, Seth and Paulette Peterson on celebrating Kickshaw’s 10th anniversary. Along with the Petersons, who was a regular at The Kaua‘i Beer Company’s Truck Stop Thursdays, Larry Feinstein (he’s back from Alaska!) said the Kaua‘i Beer Company is also celebrating 10 years as “the place between work and home.”
