Hawaii Prep Academy tops Kapaa in title game

WAIPAHU —Kaua‘i-native Conor Hunt scored two back-to-back unanswered goals to topple Kapaa 2-0 in the Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association Queen’s Medical Center Division II Boys Soccer championship game, versus Hawai‘i Island’s Hawai‘i Preparatory Academy Saturday night at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex.

The Warriors, who were attempting to win their second-consecutive tournament fell.

Hunt, who initially attended Island Schools, signed with the NCAA Division I Georgetown University to be their punter, signal-handily beat the Warriors.

Kapa‘a High School, who defeated Seabury Hall 3-0, and had a 3-1 victory over Makua Lani couldn’t contain Hunt in the title game.
