Hundreds of people lined the streets of Kuhio Highway in Kapaa for the annual Veterans Day Parade that honored generations of veterans through its “Time Was Served, Time to Honor” theme.
The parade that is traditionally held during the first weekend in November was presented by the Kauai Veterans Council with sponsorship by the Kapaa Business Association and the County of Kauai.
Everyone is invited to participate in the traditional Veterans Day Service, Monday, Nov. 11, starting at 11 a.m. at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
This year’s celebration overflows to the Kauai Veterans Center following the traditional service, with doors opening from 1 to 6 p.m. with a full slate of entertainment, prizes, games, and food donated by Gaylord’s.
