MANA — The Garden Isle Racing Association (GIRA) will host the Napa Ladies Night at Kaua‘i Raceway Park on Saturday, Aug. 12. Drag racers in Top Gun, Super Pro, Muscle, Sport Compact and Motorcycle classes will battle it out under the lights.
In addition, lady drivers will also compete in their own class for $1,000 in prize money in an event sponsored by Napa Auto Parts. All lady drivers are welcome to join in this race.
There will be an orientation and safety briefing for first-time racers, as well as a technical inspection on the car. Ladies interested in joining the fun should go to the website for more information at dragrace-kauai.com. Registration to race must be completed by noon time Aug. 10.
GIRA has partnered with Wilcox Medical Center and will be donating $1 from every gate entry, as well as 100 percent of the donations made in the lucky number drawing to the Women’s Center.
The Women’s Center has state-of-the-art mammography services that have been recognized for their excellence by the American College of Radiology. According to Rob Nelson, GIRA board member, “we chose to help raise money for the Women’s Center so they can continue to deliver high quality care to the Kaua‘i community.”
GIRA will be giving away more than $5,000 in prizes in the lucky number drawing! All race fans and racers, get your tickets at TheFOAT.com. Gates open at 9 a.m., qualifying at 2 p.m. and eliminations at 7 p.m.
