LIHU‘E — The county Department of Finance Real Property Assessment office reminds the public that the deadline for filing new Agricultural Dedication Petitions is July 1. However, because July 1 falls on a weekend, applicants will be able to submit their petitions on or before July 3, 2023, to be considered for the upcoming 2024 assessment.
This program provides a real property tax incentive in exchange for a 5-year commitment to commercial farming.
For more information, visit kauai.gov/realproperty and click on the Forms & Handouts tab, to find the form Petition to Dedicate Agricultural Land to Commercial Farming. Petition forms may also be submitted via the county-wide Land Information Management System. Online submissions can be accessed at Connect.Kauai.gov.
