Following are this week’s synopses of shows on KBFD TV, which televises Korean dramas with English subtitles:
Weekly Update
“Father I Will Take Care of You”
Episodes 1 and 2 (Sun.)
Today, 6:40 p.m.: Family is put to a test when all grown children come back home to live with their parents again. They come under pretense, but their ultimate goals lie elsewhere.
Today, 7:45 p.m.: Hyungsub tells Sunghoon to move in downstairs when he realizes the predicament Sunghoon is in. But he can’t bring up the subject to Jungae. Whereas Jungae is taken with Hyunwoo, who has an easy going personality. Heesook overhears that Hyejoo is coming to the villa.
“Racket Boys”
Episode 12 (Mon.);
Episode 13 (Tues.)
Monday, 7:45 p.m.: Hyun-jong hears a rumor that Coach Bae beat the badminton team in the past and starts an investigation. He stumbles across an unexpected source. Meanwhile, the Racket Boys practice hard for the selection match against Hwasoon.
Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: After losing in the selection match, the Racket Boys must submit to Coach Cheon’s training methods. However, the first training is more than the boys can handle. Meanwhile, Hyun-jong learns the shocking truth about Coach Bae.
“Phoenix 2020”
Episodes 105 and 106 (Wed.); Episodes 107 and 108 (Thur.)
Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Jung-min is now convinced that Eun-joo is the culprit and demands that the police run a DNA test of Myung-hwa’s broken fingernail to prove it. He also has his security team look for Mr. Han who has been kidnapped by Yang In-cheol. Jung-min asks the authorities to run a DNA test, believing that there may be Eun-joo’s DNA on Myung-hwa’s broken nail but the test comes back negative. Mr. Han tries to negotiate with Yang In-cheol.
Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: It’s six months later and Eun-joo and Yang In-cheol are presumed to have died in a car accident. Ji-eun has successfully led her company to a rapid growth but struggles with the fact that she can’t get pregnant in spite of trying artificial insemination. Ji-eun tries everything, including artifical insemination, to try to get pregnant but to no avail. She also continues to suffer from nightmares and paranoia.
“Penthouse III”
Episode 7 (Fri.);
Episode 8 (Sat.)
Friday, 7:45 p.m.: “Yoon-hee shouldn’t disappear like that.” Soo-ryeon discovers Yoon-hee’s bloody shoe on the cliffs and Cheon Seo-jin crying hysterically over her daughter. Meanwhile, Dan-tae blackmails Dong-pil using Ma-ri and Jenny as his hostages.
Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: “A devil should be dealt with by a devil.” Soo-ryeon returns to the cliffs and declares that she’ll avenge Yoon-hee’s death. The Hera Club members put their heads together to win the construction bid for Cheonsu District but a woman with a butterfly tattoo stands in their way.
