Following are this week’s synopses of shows on KBFD TV, which televises Korean dramas with English subtitles.
Weekly Update
Blessing of the Sea
Episode 81 &82; Episode 83 &84 (Sunday)
Today, 6:40 p.m.: Hak-kyu is shocked at the fact that Ji-hwan, Sung-jae and Pil-du were all friends. This fact causes anxiety for Hak-kyu that it might break Poong-do and Chung-yi up. Shi-joon takes Ji-na up to the rooftop to remind her about his mother’s fall from there.
Today, 7:45 p.m.: Hak-kyu is on the edge when Poong-do reopens investigation of his father’s death. Pil-du installs a bug on Hak-kyu’s phone, which prevents Hak-kyu from meeting Poong-do. Pil-du threatens Hak-kyu that telling the truth to Poong-do will only cause trouble for himself. Hak-kyu sees Pil-du’s watch and tells him he caused two people’s deaths.
Taxi Driver II
Episodes 7 (Monday); Episode 8 (Tuesday)
Monday, 6:45 p.m.: On Ha Jun is not who he appears to be. Do Ki and Mr. Jang discuss the mysterious circumstance surrounding Kang Pil Seung’s death. Meanwhile, after being diagnosed with acute leukemia, Jin Seon suddenly stops all treatment to enter the Pure White Church premise where she is separated from her sister, Jin Hee.
Tuesday, 6:50 p.m.: Do Ki transforms himself into a Buddhist priest to find a way into the confidence of the greedy Pure White Church cult leader, Ok Joo Man. But he is a hard man to crack. Meanwhile, Jin Seon’s health continues to decline the longer the mission takes.
Secret House
Episodes 113 &114 (Wednesday) Episode 115 &116 (Thursday)
Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Ji-hwan comes down on Man-soo for forging his father’s will. He questions what Man-soo’s relationship is with Sook-jin. Gwang-mi asks for forgiveness from Ji-hwan for switching his mother’s reports. Sook-jin tries to win Tae-hee over, offering her a position once she takes control.
Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Tae-hee feels betrayed by Ji-hwan’s lie. Tae-hyung learns of Man-soo’s secret. He’s appalled by his mother’s past doings. Ji-hwan and Annie work together to bring down Tae-hyung. Tae-hyung agonizes over what Sook-jin did to his mother.
Gwanggaeto
Episodes 29 (Friday); Episodes 30 (Satruday)
Friday, 7:50 p.m.: Damdeok and 100 Cheongun soldiers try to slow down the Khitan forces, but Tadar keeps advancing to Buyeoseong. Damdeok tricks Tadar into thinking that there is a large Goguryeo force in movement and Tadar stops advancing and goes on a search. Seol Ji is caught by Tadar while on a spy mission and is about to be killed when Damdeok comes to her rescue.
Saturday, 7:50 p.m.: While Goguryeo is embroiled by foreign invasions, Murong Bao takes the opportunity to go to Baekje to convince them to attack Goguryeo simultaneously from the north and the south. In the meantime, Ko Mu realizes the true identity of the mystery man now serving Damdeok and hurry to inform Damdeok.
