Following are this week’s synopses of shows on KBFD TV, which televises Korean dramas with English subtitles:
Weekly Update
“Father I Will Take Care Of You”
Episodes 5 and 6 (Sun.)
Today, 6:40 p.m.: Hyunwoo and Jungeun’s ill-fated relationship continue. Donghui is happy when she discovers Sungjoon is her in-laws but he sings a different tune. Jungae is upset at Hyejoo for not stopping the business. Sunghoon is disappointed at his family for failing to understand him. Sungjoon makes a pact with Donghui.
Today, 7:45 p.m.: Jungeun is happy to run into Hyunwoo. Hyunwoo’s response is that of a daze. Jungeun happily reminds him that she worked at the sandwich shop.
“Racket Boys”
Episode 16 (Mon.);
Episode 17 (Tues.)
Monday, 7:45 p.m.: The boys are finally playing in the long-awaited finals match but they can’t help but feel anxious. Things seem to be falling apart at the seams. Hyun-jong comes up with a plan that’s either brilliant or reckless.
Tuesday, 7:45 p.mm: The showdown between the rivals face each other. Hae-kang and Woo-chan enter the arena with renewed energy. Can the underdogs take the trophy home?
“Phoenix 2020”
Episodes 113 and 114 (Wed.); Episodes 115 and 116 (Thur.)
Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Jung-min starts suspecting that Ji-eun could have been kidnapped. Jung-min and Seorin’s security team search the cellar in his home, but Eun-joo somehow manages to evade them. It turns out that Ji-eun was pregnant but the hospital had mixed up the medical charts. Ji-eun realizes that she’s pregnant and vows to stay alive.
Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Eun-joo realizes that she’s been tricked by Ji-eun and becomes enraged. She goes to visit her son but leaves her phone behind, leading Jung-min to conclude that she’s alive and has kidnapped Ji-eun. The police and Jung-min finally find Eun-joo and Ji-eun in the cellar. Eun-joo forces Jung-min to make a choice, saying that she will let Ji-eun go only if he drinks a deadly mixture of drugs.
“Penthouse III”
Episode 11 (Fri.); Episode 12 (Sat.)
Friday, 7:45 p.m.: “I’m going to kill your daughter.” A recording turns up that shocks Soo-ryeon. Dan-tae has Seok-kyung imprisoned in a mysterious place that doesn’t show up on the map and Soo-ryeon is in hot pursuit of him to find her daughter. Logan’s family shows up trying to get to the truth.
Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: Seo-jin’s plan takes its form. Logan shows resilience and seeks Yoon-cheol’s help. Yoon-cheol confronts Eun-byul about what really happened on the cliff that day.
