Following are this week’s synopses of shows on KBFD TV, which televises Korean dramas with English subtitles.

“Syngman Rhee’s 30 Years In Hawai‘i”
Syngman Rhee, the founding president of the Republic of Korea spent a total of 30 years in Hawai‘i.
The first 25 years occurred before he was elected and five years were after he resigned.
What does Syngman Rhee’s Hawai‘i activities mean to the Republic of Korea?
In this new documentary, the filmmakers venture to elucidate on his time in Hawai‘i, from his contribution to the local Korean community, his emphasis o public education and the inspirations that led to his founding of an emerging nation.

Today, 6:40 p.m.: Poong-do has amnesia and asks Ji-na to stay with her until he regains his memory. Chairman Ma is confused when Poong-do and Ji-na show up at the house together. Pil-doo chimes in and tells her they are an item. Reporters swarm in asking if they are dating, and Ji-na hugs Poong-do as an answer as Chung-yi and Shi-joon sees them from the side.
Today, 7:45 p.m.: Shi-joon’s mother learns Shi-joon served time in Ji-na’s stead. Poong-do and Chung-yi see each other for the first time after the accident. Poong-do finds his mother’s cassette recording and wonders where he’s seen it before. Ji-na’s mother calls him by his name, making him suspicious. Chung-yi runs into Pil-du at Poong-do’s.

Monday, 6:45 p.m.: Hospital ship ranks number one among health care workers for a place to avoid. Hyun, Jaegyul, Joon Young end up in a hospital ship. Eun Jae, who’s reputation skyrocketed after saving a conglomerate’s sole heir also ends up joining them.
Tuesday, 6:50 p.m.: Out of desperation, Eun Jae is pushed to perform an appendectomy with a dental equipment and succeeds. he earns respect from the staff but as soon as her malpractice incident spreads, people form a different opinion of her.
Secret House
Episodes 53 &54; Episode 55 &56
Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Ji-wan asks Joo-hong’s father keep mum and do as Sook-jin says. Sook-jin asks him to stay quiet until statute of limitation runs out. Tae-hee pledges to hold on to Ji-wan no matter what. Joo-hong’s father disappears.
Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Joo-hong’s dather ends up in a critical state. Tae-hyung blames his mother for getting involved and messing things up. Ji-hwan becomes suspicious of Tae-hee. Joo-hong blames Tae-hyung for her father’s condition.

Friday, 7:50 p.m.: Everyone learns of Junyeong’s terminal illness, causing them great grief. No Eul hands over Jungeun’s confession video. Junyeong and No Eul leave on a trip together alone. Assemblyman Choi learns who was behind Jitae’s accident.
Saturday, 7:50 p.m.: Youngok and the family heart breaks seeing Junyeong as his time nears. After much agonizing, Assemblyman Choi decides to come clean about his wrongdoings of the past. Junyeong confesses his true feelings he’s been hiding to No Eul.
