Following are this week’s synopses of shows on KBFD TV, which televises Korean dramas with English subtitles.
Weekly Update
Blessing of the Sea
Episode 69 &70; Episode 71 &72 (Sunday)
Today, 6:40 p.m.: Hak-gyu witnesses Poong-do and Chung-yi’s affections for each other and questions Chung-yi. Chung-yi comes clean and tells him she’s in love with him. A photo falls from a document file as Poong-do hands them over to Chung-yi.
Today, 7:45 p.m.: Pil-du finds out Chung-yi’s father is Cho Ji-hwan, whom he framed. Chung-yi tells Poong-do that Pil-du is probing into her background and questions if the man from her childhood memory is indeed Pil-du. Shi-joon gets suspicious at Ji-na when she hangs up on someone with great haste. Chairman Ma tells Chung-yi and Poong-do that Cho Ji-hwan is the man responsible for her son’s death.
Taxi Driver II
Episodes 1 (Monday) Episode 2 (Tuesday)
Monday, 6:45 p.m.: Go Eun, Jin Eon, and Kyung Goo are living their own lives after departing Rainbow Transportation Services while Do Ki continues to remain by Mr. Jang’s side. But their hearts can’t help be drawn to their former lives. Meanwhile, the phone in Mr. Jang’s office rings.
Tuesday, 6:50 p.m.: Do Ki departs for Vietnam in search of Dong Jae only to end up in confinement. Mr. Jang frets when he loses contact with Do Ki. Do Ki runs in some familiar faces in Vietnam. Meanwhile, Rainbow Transportation Services welcomes a new hire.
Secret House
Episodes 101 &102 (Wednesday) Episode 103 &104 (Thursday)
Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Chairman Nam regains consciousness. He learns all evildoings of Sook-jin. Annie tries to seduce Tae-hyung to take revenge on him for her twin sister. Ji-hwan’s fury for Sook-jin grows as he learns how Sook-jin tries to harm Chairman Nam. Not knowing Chairman Nam has regained consciousness, Sook-jin tries to get her hands on the company’s stocks.
Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Ji-hwan finds a syringe on the hospital floor and fears for Chairman Nam’s life. Chairman Nam’s condition deteriorates and is moved to ICU. Sook-jin and Tae-hyung scheme to overtake the company using Annie. Tae-hee feels abandoned and all alone and blames Chairman Nam. Not knowing Chairman Nam’s condition, Sook-jin and Tae-hyung divulge their plans, infuriating Chairman Nam.
Gwanggaeto
Episodes 23 (Friday); Episodes 24 (Saturday)
Friday, 7:50 p.m.: Feng Ba and his party manage to lose Hwang Hoe and others and tries to enter Onyeosanseong but is instead attacked immediately as Dammang had marked the passes given to the conspirators. Gae Yeonsu realizes that it was Dammang’s plan to round up those who were after Damdeok. In order to prevent further chaos, Gae Yeonsu rushes over to see Ga Raji.
Saturday, 7:50 p.m.: In order to get himself out of trouble, Gae Yeonsu pleads with the king to designate Damdeok as the crown prince. Even though he suspects Gae Yeonsu’s motives, Damdeok decides to accept the designation in order to honor Dammang’s wishes. Gae Yeonsu orders a blacksmith to produce a special sword for the designation ceremony.
