Following are this week’s synopses of shows on KBFD TV, which televises Korean dramas with English subtitles:
Weekly Update
“Blessing of the Sea”
Episodes 101, 102, 103 and 104 (Sunday)
Today, 6:40 p.m.: Suh Pil-du lures Chung-yi to the research center under the pretext of letting her meet her father. She witnesses Ji-na setting fire to the research center and tries to salvage Baekchungcho. Ji-na is enraged when Suh Pil-du reneges on his promise. Duk-hee chastises Chung-yi accusing her of creating all the trouble. Ryan sees a familiar face in the dashcam footage of Chung-yi’s accident.
Today, 7:45 p.m.: Hak-kyu turns away Chung-yi coldly when she rushes over upon hearing his discharge from the hospital. Poong-do calls Chung-yi with a hopeful news of her father.
“Joseon Attorney”
Episode 1 (Monday); Episode 2 (Tuesday)
Monday, 7:45 p.m.: A child witness wrongful death of his parents and pledges to take revenge. Set in Joseon Dynasty period, the child Kang Han Soo becomes an attorney to defend the unprivileged, rising with fame and reputation as an unbeatable in his trade. Han Soo and Princess Yeon Joo, under disguised identity, become a team to fight the injustice.
Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Han Soo eliminates his foes one by one through trials. Princess Yeon Joo gets in the way of Han Soo’s revenge plan. Han Soo tries to find out the reason for his parents’ death.
“Good Supper”
Episodes 9 and 10 (Wednesday) Episode 11 and 12 (Thursday)
Wednesday, 7:50 p.m.: Young-shin gets hurt trying to stop a fight O-bok was in. Jung-hoon and Kyung-su are upset at Young-shin for getting involved in a fight. Wan-su gives a vocational school’s application to Da-jung to give to O-bok. Young-shin throws a party so he doesn’t change his mind. Jung-hoon’s father tells him he can do what he wants once he gets into med school.
Thursday, 7:50 p.m.: Jong-kwon tells the family that whoever takes over the restaurant will take over his other businesses too. Joon-young gets into an argument with a customer at the restaurant and Sook-jung tattle tales to her husband. Min-kyung comes down on Sook-jung as her hope was to have Joon-young to inherit Jong-kwon’s businesses.
“Gwanggaeto”
Episode 39 (Friday); Episode 40 (Saturday)
Friday, 7:50 p.m.: Seol Ji goes back to see her brother Seol Doan, but he banishes her saying that she has betrayed her own tribe. The Baekje envoy is proven not to be implicated in the attempted assassination of Murong Chiu. Fearing that they themselves will be accused of the attempted assassination, Murong Bao and Feng Ba try to frame Seol Doan for everything.
Saturday, 7:50 p.m.: Damdeok tries to use Murong Chiu to prove his innocence. Goguryeo’s court goes into panic over the news of Damdeok and Doyeong.
