Kapa‘a Middle School announces Spring Choral Concert, May 11

KAPA‘A — The Kapa‘a Middle School Spring Choral and ‘Ukulele Band Concert, May 11 starting at 6 p.m. at the school’s covered courtyard, according to Kapa‘a Middle School Music Director Mary Lardizabal.

Lardizabal said this is the first big event for the chorus and ‘ukulele band since the pandemic shut everything down more than two years ago.

Guests to the free concert are asked to wear face masks due to the large-crowd setting, and sanitation stations will be available at the school.

“We are very excited,” Lardizabal said. “Students will be wearing special clear masks for the presentation directed by Lardizabal and co-directed by Loke Sasil. Sean Carrillo and Uncle Bernard Carvalho Jr. are some of the special guests on stage with us.”

In addition to the concert, a food distribution for Kapa‘a Middle School families, parent resources, and more will be available.
