LIHU‘E — Dental patients to Kaua‘i Endodontics had their work done for free Monday during the Kaua‘i Endontics free dental day that is performed for Valentine’s Day.
“We’ve been doing this for more than 12 years,” said Dr. Joseph Chu of Kaua‘i Endodontics. “It’s something we can do to give back to the community. We have patients from Waimea to Kapa‘a who are here for root canals before they go back to their own dentists.”
Additionally, the Kaua‘i Endontics staff created special Valentine’s Day goodie bags containing oral-health products, and topped off with chocolates.
“The patients can enjoy the chocolates,” Chu said.
Chu said he started the free dental health day after being inspired by his colleague and mentor while he worked in New York.
