Kaua‘i Police Department asks for help locating rape suspect

LIHU’E — The Kaua‘i Police Department is requesting help locating a man wanted for a rape in Massachusetts.

David M. Cataldo, 53, is wanted by the United States Marshals Service. His last reported location was on Kaua‘i, police say.

Cataldo is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and weighs approximately 170 pounds. He has brown eyes, brown hair and a fair complexion. He appears to have been missing for more than a year, with Boston-area police looking for Cataldo as far back as March 2021, according to local media reports.

Police believe he is still on the island.

Anyone with information on the location of Cataldo is asked to call KPD dispatch at 808-241-1711. Residents can make an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers Kaua‘i at www.cskauai.org.
