Kaua‘i road closures for April 3 to 8

WAINIHA —The state Department of Transportation announced a right lane closure of Kuhio Highway is possible in either direction, for grass cutting between mile markers 5 and 7, in the vicinity of Lumaha‘i Beach and Wainiha Powerhouse Road, Monday through Thursday, April 3 to 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Kilauea

• A right lane closure of Kuhio Highway is possible in either direction, for grass cutting, between mile markers 22 and 24, in the vicinity of Kaluamakua Place and Kalihiwai Road, from Monday through Thursday, April 3 to 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Anahola

• Nightly single lane closures of Kuhio Highway are possible in either direction, for paving, between mile markers 9.8 and 15, in the vicinity of Mailihuna Road and Aliomanu Road, from Monday through Friday, April 3 to 7, from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Wailua

• A right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kuhio Highway are possible in the southbound direction, between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and the Kapa‘a bypass, for the Kuhio Highway Short-Term Improvements;

• A single right lane closure on Kuhio Highway is possible in either direction, between mile markers 5.9 and 6.6, in the vicinity of the Kapa‘a bypass and Kuamo‘o Road, from Monday through Thursday, April 3 to 6, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for guardrail and drainage installations and striping;

• Nightly two-lane closures of Kuhio Highway are possible in either direction between mile markers 5.9 and 6.6, in the vicinity of the Kapa‘a bypass and Kuamo‘o Road, from Monday through Friday, April 3 to 7, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., for the Kuhio Highway Short-Term Improvements;

• A single right lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road is possible in the westbound direction, for paving, between mile marker 0 and 0.6, in the vicinity of Wailua Road, from Monday through Friday, April 3 to 7, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Kapa‘a

• Portions of Kawaihau Road and Mailihuna Road will experience periodic one-lane closures and road narrowing from Monday through Thursday, April 3 to 6, for clearing and grubbing, excavation and construction.

Kalaheo

• A single right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway is possible in the westbound direction, for grass cutting and guardrail clearing, between mile markers 14 and 17, in the vicinity of Hanapepe Road, from Monday through Thursday, April 3 to 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.;

• A single right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway is possible in the westbound direction, for tree trimming, between mile markers 11 and 12, in the vicinity of Halewili Road to Lauoho Road, from Monday through Thursday, April 3 to 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

• A single right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway is possible in either direction, for temporary striping for roadway widening, between mile markers 10.3 and 11.2, in the vicinity of Anuhea Place to Kua Road, on Monday, April 3, from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.
